Introduction

Approx 9 - 10 mile walk

Approx 4 -6 Hours walk

Refreshments available at Loxley, Low Bradfield and Strines Inn.

This walk starts at the Admiral Rodney pub in Loxley, this area is said by many to be the birthplace of the Legendary Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest. The Admiral Rodney can be reached on the First Mainline's number 14 bus. These are quite frequent from Sheffield City centre. For information on on times visit SYPTE. All First Mainline's Saver tickets are valid to Loxley from Sheffield city centre. (Please note beyond Loxley at present a different bus company operate to Low Bradfield under contract to SYPTE and to the best of my knowledge First Mainline tickets are not valid on these services. This could change and I would advise ringing SYPTE on 01709 51 51 51 for further advice). All SYPTE. Tickets and concessionary passes are valid on services to Low Bradfield as well as Loxley.
