A Lovely canalside pub set in a pleasant valley. The beer and food are excellent It is situated at the side of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation near Sprotbrough Lock. The waterway is part of the River Don and part canal. From the Lock the Viaduct carrying the A1(M) can be seen. From the pub
you can walk by the side of the river and canal right into Doncaster town centre where you can catch a bus back to Sprotbrough village, please note this is not a frequent service. For a much more frequent service you can catch a bus to Warmsworth where it is a 20 minute walk back to the Pub. Visit sypte for more info.
